I started my career as an aircraft painter and finisher in the Royal Air Force and then went onto work for a microlight aircraft company; Pegasus Aviation, based in Marlborough, Wiltshire.
I started as an aircraft sail maker and worked my way up to the position of Production Manager.
After leaving Pegasus, I worked for Aircraft Service UK, where I manufactured microlight wings for America and internal trim for light aircraft.
I then set up my own business, formerly known as WS Trimming, where I worked solely for 6 years.
During this time, I was approached by Marshall Aerospace to join the team and become Trim Bay Lead, based at RAF Brize Norton, working on C130J Hercules and C17s, but always keeping my own business running part-time.
After 12 years of working at RAF Brize Norton, where unfortunately the C130J Hercules has now been retired, I am now concentrating on developing WS Aircraft Trimming business, working with light aircraft.
Previously I have worked with:
Plus, various light aircraft, renewing seats, foam and leather, cloth, vinyl, and any other requirements.
I am now based in Swindon and am looking forward to taking on new challenges within the industry.
